The Course

The course, 4.2 miles with 750 feet of climb, is intended for the intermediate or above mountain biker. However, the descent is non-technical. Anyone willing to push up some steep climbs (or hike-a-bike if necessary) and with moderate descending experience should be able to ride!

The 2026 event is complete, but the momentum continues. We’re already looking ahead to the next race weekend and can’t wait to see you there.

Big views, easy access

Located on private land in Brazos, New Mexico, the venue overlooks the Brazos cliffs and winds through 200 acres of pine, scrub oak, and meadow.

Getting There

  • Accessible via well-maintained dirt road off Fishtail Road.
  • Detailed directions sent to all registered participants closer to race day.
  • Volunteers will be on hand to direct traffic.
  • Venue open from 9:00 AM, Aug 7 through 4:00 PM, Aug 8.

Camping & Amenities

  • Ample camping available the night before for preride (Aug 7).
  • Bathroom facilities and potable water on site.
  • Lunch and cookies available for purchase race day.
  • Bring warm clothes — overnight temps run into the low 50s.

For Spectators

  • Parking is scattered around the venue — carpool when you can so more people park close.
  • Any vehicle can access the dirt roads in; 4WD helps in wet weather.
  • Allow about 30 minutes to park and settle in.
